East Coast Building Inspections

East Coast Building Inspections is run by Travis Reeves, who has worked in the building industry for over 22 years. The business pairs Travis Reeves as licensed building inspector with pest inspector Paul Lee, and together the two inspectors have over 50 years of combined experience in their fields. The business is fully insured.

Services include property, pest, pre-sale vendor, asbestos, mould, defect strata, safe house, drainage and ventilation inspections, and reports comply with the Australian Standard AS 4349.1. The business services Wollongong, Illawarra, Shellharbour, Albion Park, Kiama, Gerringong, Berry, Nowra, Shoalhaven and Ulladulla up to the Southern Highlands, and has expanded to also cover Eurobodalla and Sutherland Shire.

Thorough reports and prompt turnaround form the core of what clients highlight about this Wollongong building and pest inspection firm. More than one customer describes receiving detailed building and pest reports, often on the same day as the inspection, with photographs and written explanations that make the findings easy to follow. Reviews regularly refer to the care taken to talk through results by phone, answering questions until the details are understood.

Named staff including Travis, Sarah and Paul attract consistent praise for organisation and responsiveness, with one account noting that a message left in the evening was returned straight away and an inspection arranged for the following morning. The reports themselves are described as comprehensive and well illustrated, covering the matters buyers need to know before committing to a purchase. A point made in several accounts is the value of an open, unhurried opinion on a property, delivered without pressure.

Clients also note how little effort the process required of them, with arrangements handled directly with selling agents and reports arriving within hours of the inspection. Work spans building and pest inspections and timber pest assessment, with asbestos testing and building consultancy also listed. The recurring impression is of a dependable, detail-focused service that helps buyers understand exactly what they are purchasing.
