Not reliable at all. Ten days after arranging for a pest inspection for a house purchase, Marcel still had not contacted the agent to arrange a time. Called again to confirm he'll call on the tenth day, and he still hadn't after saying he would. Below is the email sent to cancel my request. You were going to contact our agent yesterday for the pest inspection. You didn't call to arrange a time. Don't worry about it now. Have someone else to do it.
Don’t let the lack of reviews, shop front & privacy issues with website deter you from going with Marcel for a P&B inspection. I wasn’t sure about this business in the beginning. Very relaxed/ laid back approach. Not great communication & customer service, however in the end he showed up and I was happy with the report and detail and time taken to walk me through the inspection afterwards and explaining everything to me. As a details person I appreciated this level of service at the inspection. Also found in comparison to the competition, Marcel was competitively priced & l was also thankful he was able to fit me in before x-mas when everyone else was booked up/ closed; certainly helped with progression to going unconditional in time. For these reasons I leave 5 stars. Thank you Marcel & Donna.
Never again. After finding termites in the inspection Marcel told me they could also provide the treatment / barrier service as well. Every phone call he ended by telling me he would ring me back. The man never placed one call to me. So he does not keep his word about ringing you back that’s for sure. The report I paid for that mentioned the termites had no photos of any termites. When the company I had to use (when it became apparent that the barrier treatment was as likely as a return call) were amazed at this. They also said the termites were quite bad in an area this shonky mob hadn’t picked up and not as bad as reported in an area they did mention. This was even reaffirmed by the conveyancing lawyers I used that said he was famous for picking up things he didn’t need to but would miss things that were important that sometimes had caused problems with the sale. Just another one of these companies that have so much work they are just going through the motions, raking in the coin and don’t care about keeping their word or doing a decent job. Beware.
