Snakesaway

Snakesaway was founded in 2015 by Neil, who spent close to two decades working as a professional surveyor in North Queensland before developing snake deterrent products. The company's products come with a 12 month warranty.

Snakesaway states that it is not a snake catcher service.

People who bought snake gaiters online report markedly different experiences with this Mackay supplier. Customers in several reviews describe receiving their gaiters promptly, having been kept informed by text and email and given a tracking number, and finding the product matched its website description and arrived in good condition. One buyer, purchasing on behalf of an SES volunteer, singled out Neil for thanks. A recurring complaint, however, centres on paid orders that were never fulfilled, with emails, text messages, online enquiries and phone calls reportedly going unanswered over weeks and sometimes months.

Several reviewers note that no order confirmation ever arrived, and describe being unable to make contact once payment had been taken. The broader pattern in the feedback is inconsistent follow-through: efficient communication and dispatch in some instances, and no response or delivery in others, leaving unresolved purchases still being chased long after the transaction. Australian ownership is mentioned by one buyer as a reason for choosing the supplier, while others express frustration at having to escalate the matter further through consumer channels.
