Derwent Pest Control

Derwent Pest Control has 12 years of industry experience delivering pest solutions for homes and businesses across Southern Tasmania. It provides treatments for common household pests such as ants, spiders, cockroaches and silverfish, along with rodent control and end-of-lease pest treatments for rental properties.

Its rodent control work uses exclusion, baiting and monitoring methods, targeting the source of an infestation to eliminate rats and mice and to help prevent future activity from returning.

In Hobart and the surrounding districts, Derwent Pest Control has built a following around the work of Larry, whose name appears in the majority of customer accounts. Reviewers often mention his reliability, punctuality and willingness to answer questions before and after treatment, with several describing him as informative and easy to deal with. Jobs range from internal and external fumigation of properties to ongoing pest control at a large industrial site, and the results are described in concrete terms: ants and spiders absent for weeks afterwards, rats cleared, commercial premises kept free of pests.

A detail many reviews return to is the follow-up, including check-in calls days after the visit to confirm the problem has been resolved. Customers note that appointments are confirmed in advance and that Larry arrives when he says he will, sometimes early and ready to start. Tidiness, courteous conduct and fair pricing for commercial and industrial work are also mentioned, along with his experience and practical advice. The tone across accounts is consistent: prompt, friendly service, straightforward communication and problems sorted quickly, whether the job is a one-off treatment or an ongoing contract.
