McMahon Pest Services

McMahon Pest Services is a family-owned business, locally established for over 35 years and serving Cairns, Gordonvale, Port Douglas, Smithfield and Mareeba. Owner Colin McMahon brings over 35 years of experience providing pest management throughout Far North Queensland, including Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands, Port Douglas, Mossman and Innisfail.

The business offers termite treatments, general pest management, pest inspections and rodent control, backed by full licensing and warranties.

Termite activity and coastal brown ant infestations feature prominently among the jobs described by customers who have engaged this Cairns operator. Colin is the name that recurs throughout the feedback, and the qualities attributed to him are consistent: thorough knowledge of the pests involved, a methodical approach, and a willingness to walk a customer through each stage of the treatment rather than simply getting on with the job. Customers writing about their orders describe the response as prompt, with jobs attended without the waiting that tends to accompany seasonal demand.

Pricing is repeatedly characterised as reasonable for the scope of work carried out, and the manner in which the service is delivered draws frequent mention of friendliness and professionalism. Chris also receives credit for a job completed well. The termite problem and the ant infestation are both reported as brought under control, which points to a technical competence that extends beyond a single pest type. Tidiness and clear explanation before and after treatment appear throughout the accounts. Repeat business is implied by the number of reviewers who state they would call again on Colin for any pest issue arising at their property.
