Shoalhaven Snake Catchers

Shoalhaven Snake Catchers is fully licensed and insured. All snake catchers are licensed through the Office of Environment and Heritage under the National Parks and Wildlife Act, 1974 and have current insurances. Shaun Armstrong is the owner and a snake catcher, and he started the business.

The service area covers the entire Shoalhaven region and surrounds, from Kiama in the North to Ulladulla in the South and out to the Southern Highlands in the west. The team keeps up to date with new catching techniques and is trained in the humane handling of wildlife. Services include snake relocation, property assessment, free ID service, and property inspections.

Householders across the Shoalhaven district who find a snake on their property describe a service built on fast response and calm handling. Several customers recount calling after discovering a red belly black, tiger or python in a garage, yard or front garden, and report that the catcher arrived within minutes to about an hour. A number of reviews mention the combination of speed and care, with the animal caught, identified and then relocated rather than harmed.

Shaun is named in more than one account and is described as friendly, helpful and generous with information, taking time to explain the species and, in one case, letting the caller handle a placid python under his supervision. A theme running through the feedback is how reassuring the visit felt, particularly for people who had seen the same snake return over several days. The educational aspect of the call-out is noted alongside the practical removal, so that customers come away knowing more about the reptile they found. Praise centres on promptness, safe capture, relocation and clear advice, with no account describing damage or a follow-up problem after the visit.
